Kunchacko Boban-Priyamani’s Next Goes On Floors In Kerala

Actor Kunchacko Boban is all set to star in a crime thriller next, which is yet to be titled. Priyamani will be starring as the female lead opposite him. The film was announced on April 27. It is the directorial debut of actor Jithu Ashraf. He has acted in films like Nayatta and Iratta. The film’s screenplay is written by director Shahi Kabir. Now, its shooting has also started. The film went on floors with director Mahesh Narayanan performing puja at Kadavanthra Lions Community Hall, Ernakulam, Kerala. Ratheesh Balakrishnan gave the first clap. Jagadish, Manoj KU, Srikanth Murali, Unni Lalu, Jay Kurup, Vysakh Shankar, Ramzan, Vishnu G Nair, Anunath, Laiyam Mamman, Aishwarya and Amit Eapan will also be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

This Kunchacko Boban-starrer’s cinematography is handled by Robby Varghese Raj. It is produced by Martin Prakat, Ranjith Nair and CB Chavara under the banners Martin Prakat Films and The Green Room.

In an interview, Kunchacko Boban spoke about working in the film. He said he is excited to work in a film that features emerging directors, actors and technicians. He added, “Those who are passionate about creating excellent films are these people. They can also produce entertaining films in any genre.”

Kunchacko Boban further revealed that this film will have slice-of-life moments. He said he will play a cop in the film named Harishankar. “The film is about his emotional journey. It is not a straightforward police drama,” said Kunchacko Boban.

He was last seen in Chaver, which was released last year. The film, which was a political drama, is now streaming on SonyLIV.

Last year, Kunchacko Boban in an interview spoke on how to attract audiences to the theatres. He said, “To attract audiences, you should treat them like your girlfriend. Strive to be the best version of yourself, impress them, and provide everything, including the best of you, so that they accompany you to your home. Therefore, you need to be on your toes all the time; only then will they come and watch your movies in theatres.”
