A day after Aashish Mehrotra confirmed quitting Anupamaa, News18 Showsha has now exclusively learnt that the actor will soon be seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. A source close to the actor has told us that Aashish has left Rupali Ganguly’s show to explore something new via Rohit Shetty’s KKK 14.
“Aashish was a part of Anupamaa ever since the show’s beginning. He wanted to explore something new and when Khatron Ke Khiladi was offered, he thought it was the perfect opportunity. He has confirmed his participation and will soon be seen in Rohit Shetty’s show,” the source told us.
On Thursday, Aashish Mehrotra confirmed quitting Anupamaa when he took to his Instagram handle and penned down a long emotional note. Describing his 4-year-long journey as Toshu, Aashish wrote, “It was a beautiful beautiful journey… a beautiful journey of almost 4 years as your “Toshu” in Anupamaa… The character being just the opposite of who I am as a person… has made it more challenging and fun to live with.. It has been a huge roller coaster ride…But whatttt a ride!!!”
“From a topper in college – mba gold medalist, most loved son being the 1st born, then the rebel child, drunkard, bhaag kar shaadi karne waala lover, saas ka ghulaam- ghar jamai, selfish money lover, loving brother, comic property dealer to being bed ridden after a stroke.. apne bacchi chura kar bhag gaya tha… kyaaa kyaa nahi kiyaa hai yaar in this journey… Toshus love for his father was the most special thing to me in this journey.. In his post as well, Aashish hinted at his next project and concluded by saying, “You guys will see me soon in some other roop or maybe the real me…Seeking your acceptance, love, blessings forever. Signing off with tons of gratitude.”
Meanwhile, other celebrities who are likely to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 are Abhishek Kumar, Samarth Jurel, Abhishek Malhan, Sanaya Irani, Gashmeer Mahajani, Krishna Shroff and Helly Shah.
