New OPD blocks inauguarated

BANGALORE: The much-awaited OPD block in Victoria and Vani Vilas Hospital was inaugurated here on Thursday.“Making it convenient for the patients, the newly constructed blocks will enable patients to get all sorts of OPD consultations under one roof,” said S A Ramdas, Minister for Medical Education.  The new OPB blocks are built at the cost of Rs 10.5 crore in Victoria Hospital and around `2 crore in Vani Vilas Hospital.Also, a clinical skill centre was also inaugurated at BMCRI campus. The skill training has also been mandatory by Medical Council of India and the skill centre is known to be the first centre in Karnataka.Speaking on the occasion, Dr O S Siddappa, dean and director, BMCRI said that the old building at Ryan circle will be demolished and new hostels and quarters for doctors and nurses will be constructed.
