Dudley Police Station located in Massachusetts, United States of America has stirred the headlines after it was renovated into modern apartments. As per The Sun, the Rs 77,192-a-month property has raised eyebrows for yet another reason. Despite the renovation, some remnants of the original property, i.e.- a prison cell are still available in the flat.
As per the photographs revealed in the public domain by an estate agent named Taylors, this prison cell is located in the refurbished kitchen. It looks slightly unusual but is an interesting feature of the property. The estate agent is least bothered about this feature in the property and an interview with The Sun, called it a fantastic and unusual opportunity.
The idea of a prison cell in a refurbished flat has intrigued social media users. They have come up with a lot of creative ideas on how to use this cell. One of the users suggested that the prison cell can be converted into a cute home office space and trailing or climbing plants put in it. Another one suggested that if more bars can be added to this cell, this could be the start of a nice little aviary for a large bird or two.
As reported in the portal, this studio apartment comprises a three-piece white shower room, a living area, a bedroom space and an intercom system. The kitchen is furnished with grey cabinetry and a stylish, black marble-effect backsplash (a panel behind a sink or cooker that protects the wall from splashes).
