Actor Nizhalgal Ravi has expressed gratitude to Kamal Haasan for supporting him in his debut film. He highlighted his role in launching his career. His recent interview discussing this matter grabbed the attention of film fanatics.

Known for his versatility, Ravi has been roped in to play villain, hero, character actor and dubbing artist. He has shared screen space with acclaimed actors such as Rajini, Kamal, Ajith and Vijay. With a repertoire of over 60 films and appearances in more than 20 serials, Nizhalgal Ravi has gained prominence in the film industry.

Nizhalgal Ravi is widely known for dubbing lead roles in films. Notably, he provided his voice for the antagonist Jackie Shroff in the movie Bigil. Similarly, his dubbing for Anand, the narrator in KGF, garnered praise from both viewers and critics.

Starting his artistic career in 1980, he debuted with the film Nizhalgal. During a recent interview, he shared that the filming of Nizhalgal took place at Kamal Haasan’s house, specifically in his room. He said, “Kamal sir allowed us to use the room for shooting. It was next to a room without a bed and was quite simple”.

Kamal Haasan’s room had all the necessary shooting equipment, including lights. The filming lasted only 8 days. Nizhalgal Ravi admitted, “I don’t understand acting. I performed well in front of Bharathiraja. But when I saw Kamal, I was stunned.”

During that time, he was also working on another film project. Kamal Haasan approached Bharathiraja while the shooting was happening. He wished me well and those wishes have been crucial in keeping my film career going for many years.

On the work front, Nizhalgal Ravi shot to fame with movies like Indian, Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1, Ponniyin Selvan: Part Two and Raatchasan. He has a few films in the pipeline including Theenkirai, Kishkkindha Kandam, Masthu Shades Unnai Ra and Nindru Kolvaan to name a few.

Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan rose to fame with films including Vishwaroopam, Dasavatharam, Hey Ram and Thevar Magan. The actor was last seen in the film Leo. Soon, he is going to feature in films like Indian 2, Vikram 2, Kalki 2898 AD, Thug Life and KH237 among others.
