New Delhi: Minor fire broke out on the second floor of Annexe building of Parliament on Sunday.

Fire broke out in room number 212. It has been brought under control.

A meeting of the national executive of Janata Dal United was underway when the fire broke out. The meeting, however, continued uninterrupted.

"The fire occurred on the second floor of Annexe building of Parliament following which fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was brought under control," a fire department official said.

"No causalities or injuries were reported. It appears to be caused by a short circuit. However, the exact cause behind the fire is being investigated," said the official.
