If you need to troubleshoot, register, or order replacement parts for your dryer, you'll need to know the model number. Fortunately, it's easy to find the model and serial numbers for any top-loading or front-loading dryer. In most cases, you'll just need to open the dryer door and look around its edges for a sticker or plate containing the numbers you need. In this article, we will show you where to find the model number of your dryer, regardless of the make or model.

Things You Should Know

In most cases, you'll find your dryer's model number inside the door, either on the back or front of the inner faceplate.
On a few Samsung, Maytag, and Fisher & Paykel dryers, the model number sticker may be on the back of the appliance.

Whirlpool

The model number sticker is right inside your dryer's door. Open your Whirlpool dryer door and locate the sticker on the top-left corner of the dryer's inner rim. You'll find both the model and serial numbers printed on this sticker.

Kenmore

You'll find your Kenmore dryer's model number inside the door. Open the door, and check the top and bottom of the door's inner side. You'll find both the model and serial number on the sticker.

Maytag

Your Maytag dryer's model number can be found in one of four locations. The location of the model and serial number plate varies by model, but you'll always find it in one of these four spots: On the upper-left corner of the back of your dryer. On the inside of your dryer at the back of the top, visible only when the door is open. On the inner wall or rim of the door. If you have a gas dryer, you may find the model number behind the access panel.

Samsung

You'll find the model number inside your dryer door. Open your Frigidaire dryer's door and inspect the door's inner rim. If you don't see a sticker on the door itself, it'll be on the inside rim of your dryer.

The location of your Miele dryer's model number varies by model. To locate the model and serial numbers of your Miele dryer: Tumble dryer: Open the door and locate the plate at the bottom of the front plate of the dryer. Washer-dryer combo: Open the door and find the plate affixed to the door's inner rim.

Speed Queen

Your dryer's model number is usually just inside the door. Open your Speed Queen dryer's door and look for a sticker on the front plate/rim near the door latch. You'll find the model and serial numbers printed on this sticker on both residential and commercial Speed Queen dryers.

GE

The model number sticker is visible when the dryer door is open. Open your GE dryer's door, then find the sticker inside the front face of the dryer on the left or right side.

LG

Your LG dryer's model number is inside the dryer. The sticker is only visible when the dryer door is open. Just open the door and locate the sticker at the top-right corner of its front panel.

Fisher & Paykel

The model and serial number location varies depending on dryer type. Front loading dryers: Open the dryer door. If your dryer was manufactured after 2001, you'll find the model number plate inside the door at the top. If you don't see the sticker, check the back of the dryer. For older dryers, the model number is on the sticker you see on the front of the dryer when the door is open. Top loading dryers: You'll find the model and serial numbers on the back of the dryer's control panel. It'll be on the left side of the back panel when you're facing the appliance.
