Emotions Wild as Rohit Sharma Gives Hardik Pandya a Kiss After Winning the T20 World Cup 2024- WATCH

The emotions are well and truly spilling out after India managed to end their 11-year-long wait for the T20. Hardik Pandya was taken by the broadcasting team for a quick chat after the World Cup victory but Rohit Sharma took the internet by storm by doing something many might not have expected.

During Hardik Pandya’s post-match talk with the broadcasters, he received a quick peck on the cheek by the Indian skipper which sent the cricketing fanbase into a frenzy.

Hardik Pandya certainly put in a decent performance with the ball and more importantly handled the pressure in the final over to get the job done. Despite bowling a few full-tosses, Pandya was able to get the wicket of David Miller thanks to Suryakumar Yadav’s heroics at the long-on region to take the catch.

Even when Pandya was back under pressure with Rabada getting the boundary, but maintained his calm and helped India get the trophy.

Many questioned whether India’s best all-rounder warranted a spot in the side after he had a disastrous campaign in the recently concluded IPL, but he showed why he is among the finest all-rounders in international cricket as he finishes his campaign with 11 wickets and 144 runs to help India attain glory once again.

His class was evident in international colours right from the warm-up game against Bangladesh where he was too good for the opposition and the theme continued on for the rest of the tournament barring the odd game.

India might not have been able to take home the title without his performances and the balance he brings to the Indian side as a bankable option with both the bat and ball.

He still has much more time left in his international career and will likely be among the core leadership group in India’s near future once the likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli call time on their careers.
