Now, it’s Kannada cinema’s turn to witness a renowned comic actor’s transformation. Rangayana Raghu, celebrated for his comic performances, is set to make a significant shift to a more serious role in the upcoming film Shakahari. His first look from the film was recently revealed, surprising fans with his intense and non-comedic appearance.
Rangayana Raghu’s character hints at a complete departure from his previous comic roles. The actor, who has primarily played supporting characters in the past, is poised to take on one of the film’s protagonist roles. Reports suggest that he will portray a chef in the movie, and the film’s title, Shakahari (which translates to vegetarian cuisine), hints at the pivotal role his character will play in the storyline.
The film’s first look poster, released earlier, also revealed Gopalkrishna Deshpande as a police officer, adding intrigue to the mystery narrative. The breathtaking mountainous landscapes of Thirthahalli serve as the backdrop for this cinematic journey.
Director Sandeep Sunka, renowned for his critically acclaimed short films, makes his feature-length debut with Shakahari. His prior experience as an associate director brings a unique perspective to the project. Sujay Shastri assumes a significant role in the film, alongside a talented ensemble cast that includes Pratima Nayak, Harini, Vinay U.J., Sriharsha Gobhatta, and Nidhi Hegde.
